Over Straumann B.V.:
Straumann B.V. is de Nederlandse dochteronderneming van het Zwitserse Institut Straumann AG en leverancier van het Straumann® Dental Implant System. Als enige implantaatsysteem op de markt heeft het Straumann Dental Implant System, dankzij het SLA-oppervlak, een FDA-goedkeuring voor een osseo-integratietijd van zes weken. Bovendien heeft het implantaatoppervlak SLActive een FDA-goedkeuring voor immediate belasting, restauratie en functie. Het Straumann Dental Implant System onderscheidt zich door zijn betrouwbaarheid, precisie en gebruiksvriendelijkheid, en is geschikt voor alle indicaties.
Daarnaast ontwikkelt en verkoopt Straumann producten op het gebied van weefselregeneratie. De doelstelling is nieuwe regeneratieve therapieën te ontwikkelen, maar ook vooruitgang te boeken op het gebied van tissue engineering. Emdogain® is één van de producten binnen dit portfolio.
De Straumann-groep werkt nauw samen met het Internationale Team voor Implantologie (ITI). Het ITI is een onafhankelijke organisatie die opereert zonder winstoogmerk. Hoogwaardig wetenschappelijk onderzoek staat garant voor de continue verbetering van behandelmethoden en -producten. Het ITI en Straumann hebben met het Straumann Dental Implant System sinds 1974 een belangrijke bijdrage geleverd aan de ontwikkeling van de orale implantologie.
