Short ways, big action – Interaction Korea Tour
Placed by : DENTSPLY Prosthetics Benelux 10-09-2009
09 / 2009 – Imagine you know a German dental technician with a vision, an open mind and phenomenal workmanship. And then imagine that you know a Korean businessman with a vision, an open mind and a phenomenal network. Wouldn´t it be great to see what happens if you let these people meet in person? At Elephant we are proud to know both these persons and we were convinced something beautiful could arise from this.
So in October, in cooperation with Doo Whan Kim, owner of the Seoel based dental company DACO, we are organizing the
– Short ways, big action – Interaction Korea Tour 2009 - with key opinion leader Hans-Jürgen Joit from Düsseldorf visiting, demonstrating, lecturing and entertaining some of the most established South-Korean dental technicians, lab owners and dental students.
With a tight time schedule to give seven hands-on courses and two lectures including live demo´s at eight different locations in eight days to approximately 550 attendees in total, the tour can be considered somewhat ambitious. However, we are confident that this is how the message of the straight-forwardness and uniqueness of our Interaction ceramic will find it´s way to the Korean market.
Please make sure to visit our website in November to read the report on this spectacular upcoming event.

Sakura Interaction well suited for Schick substructures
09 / 2009 – Extensive, internal tests have proven that Sakura Interaction can be successfully processed in combination with Schick substructures. After recommendations of several customers who work with this brand, Elephant contacted Schick GmbH in Germany. They were willing to donate some of their copings and then Elephant performed the further internal tests.
The compatibility of the veneering ceramic in combination with the substructure material was tested in two different ways: a fracture load test on finished crowns and a thermo shock test. After evaluation of both tests it was clear that the compatibility between both materials was perfectly in order. All combinations performed well when used with Sakura Interaction.
Of course during the preparation of the substructure and when firing Sakura Interaction, the directions for use of the supplier of the zircon oxide sub-structure should always be observed. When the recommended processing methods are followed, a flawless manufacturing and durable quality of the restoration is guaranteed.
